Fitting a DCP150 lockable lid does not mean you lose the ability to carry items such as bicycles, roof boxes or longer items on top of your Erde 160, 161, 162 or 163 trailer. Adding BC001 load bars makes this possible. The BC001 have been designed by Erde to fit around the hard lid on your Erde 161, 162, 163 & 160.
Kit comprises of two zinc plated loadbars, fixings and instructions.

Adding BC001 load bars makes this possible. The BC001 have been designed by Erde to fit around the hard lid on your Erde 161, 162, 163 & 160.
The lid should not be opened while the load bars are loaded as the lid’s gas strut will not be able to support the weight of bicycles etc and may unexpectedly close.
The BC001 load bars are 45mm wide and 25mm deep. They are adjustable to fit any Erde or Daxara that is fitted with an ABS lid.

A real must for that extra space. I was very dubious about giving the price for 2 bars I thought was way overpriced, but it’s made so well and precise and with strengthened materials. It fits really perfectly which makes it so easy to fit. Def use blue loctite on all bolts for peace of mind. A well thought out piece of kit.it really is so so useful and If your camping or using a roof box it’s ideal. I fitted a roof tray I’ve seen bike racks fitted to them too. Makes my 5×3 trailer invaluable. They are strong well made fantastic quality and great service from western towing. I’m so glad I bought them.
