Hitch damper was becoming soft after 25,000 miles towing, with the caravan bumping into the hitch too rapidly when braking moderately. I used the Eti number recorded on the side of the hitch to order the correct damper. Good service from Western Towing. It was reasonably easy to fit, I had to loosen the hitch from the A frame to get the rear bolt holes to line up easily, and it can be a fiddle to get the front bolt hole lined up, I had to compress the damper slightly and catch it with a screwdriver, feed through a slightly smaller bolt from the wrong side and knock that out with the correct bolt from the correct side. The spacer was a fiddle to fit for the second head bolt, a thin screwdriver helped to position it. I have not towed with it yet, but the new damper is more stiff than the one I removed.
