Knott brakes can be found on some caravans and most trailers such as Brian James, Ifor Williams, Snipe, West Mersea boat trailers, Bateson, Hiline and Indespension and fitted to either a single axle up to 1000kg or a tandem axle up to 2000kg (two kits will be required to replace all four brakes).

It is recommended that brakes shoes on the same axle are replaced at the same time to maintain even braking.
