When designing caravan & motorhome axles Alko put safety and comfort at the forefront of their designs. They have collaborated with many vehicle manufacturers such as Fiat, Peugeot, Citroen, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen. Alko have achieved unrivaled levels of performance.

Al-ko standard torsion bar suspension is also unique among chassis manufacturers in the leisure vehicle industry. However as axles age and wear they will eventually start to deteriorate and it will become effective to replace the axle as Alko do not recommend refurbishing or re-rubbering them.

We can normally supply an identical replacement axle from the information contained on the Identification Plate. This is usually fitted to the centre of the axle, sometimes we need more information like the chassis number, make of trailer/vehicle, etc. as well. This is to make sure that no error was made when the original information was registered and if the numbers on the plate are not easy to read.

Alko ID plates are usually oval-shaped and are either green, blue, red, or pink depending on the age of the motorhome.

Please first take a clear picture of your axle plate (Unfortunately this may mean getting under your caravan or motorhome) this is the only way a replacement axle can be produced swiftly and efficiently.
